Man, these bitches still struggle with the mystical concept that being a juggalo is truly the last of the subcultures that keeps its pure originality.

Wanna know why? Simply put, The Gathering of the Juggalos. That shit will really put a juff through the mud. Hell, I even questioned if I was even juggalo enough from my first gathering. But I stayed strong and survived the week on practically nothing (poor planning). Putting myself outside of my home state as an autistic person, let alone a juggalo, was my test to prove that I am a wicked clown and the Dark Carnival smiles its malicious grin upon my soul, man.

I ain't never heard any coming of age ritual type shit with any other alternative subcultures like that. If you can survive the Gathering you can fuckin' do anything you set your mind to, brother.

Must watch. The first part feels a little patronizing in a “look at these clowny freaks” sort of a way, and the people they interviewed come off as very naive. The fact that Juggalos have very mainstream american political opinions is another layer of humor, like, “the freaks are just like you and me actually. How droll.” The interview with Violent J starts with him wholeheartedly not accepting an endorsement to run as president, which is a little disappointing, but it is nice to finally have him address the subject publicly directly.  I think Violent J’s complete lack of a reaction to Tim Walz is very funny, as I imagine it was like looking into a mirror. Very similar men, Tim Walz and Violent J. The horrid thing is that I think he comes off as a very reasonable canidate for the young people who are least likely to vote.
